A change we’re really proud of
Investing in solar energy felt like the right next step for us.
Seeing the panels now installed across our warehouse roof and knowing they’re helping power the work we do every day is something we’re genuinely proud of.
It’s great to see our building being used in a new way and playing a part in helping us make more sustainable choices.
Making the most of our warehouse
Our warehouse is always busy. Every day there are products arriving, stock being organised, orders being picked and packed, and shipments heading out to customers.
Now, the roof above all of that activity is helping us in another way, by generating renewable energy that supports our operation.
It might seem like a simple change, but it’s one we’re really excited about. It helps us make better use of the space we already have while taking another step towards a more sustainable way of working.
Our solar panels are helping us:
- Use more renewable energy across our operation
- Reduce our reliance on traditional energy sources
- Make better use of our warehouse space
- Support a more sustainable way of working
Supporting the work behind every order
A lot of what we do at Character Fulfilment happens behind the scenes.
Before an order reaches the customer, there’s a whole process taking place, from managing stock and preparing products to making sure everything is picked, packed, and ready to go.
It’s easy to focus on the finished delivery, but there’s a lot of work happening before that point to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Knowing that our solar panels are now supporting part of that everyday operation is a great feeling. While we’re helping brands get their products to customers, we’re also making changes to improve the way we work.
A positive step for the future
For us, installing solar panels was about more than just adding something new to our warehouse.
It was about making a change that would have a lasting benefit and investing in something that supports the way we want to work in the future.
We know sustainability is something we’ll continue to improve on, but we’re proud of the steps we’re already taking and the progress we’re making as a business.
Looking ahead
This is just one of the changes we’re making as we continue to look for better ways to work.
We’re always looking at ways we can improve our processes, make smarter choices, and continue moving in the right direction.
It’s brilliant to see our solar panels now up and running and playing a part in the day-to-day running of our warehouse.
